The focus and intensity of the jockey’s is equally dramatic as they harness the power of these amazing horses.

This shoot was one of those ‘right place at the right time’.  Well aren’t most sports photos that?

For this shot I wanted to capture the emotion and energy of the start.  At this point everyone is ‘starting’ off the same.  There is no leader and no winner yet.  From here on out it’s all about skill!
